Removing and replacing boards is easier than ever
Thanks to the Grad® mounting system, it is perfectly easy to dismantle a QuickClip® deck, exterior cladding, ceiling panels or wood panelling in HOTwood ash, HOTwood pine, HOTwood bamboo or Accoya without damaging any of the boards. All you need is a set of disassembly keys.

A deck or wood cladding may need to be taken apart from time to time, for instance to replace a board, carry out work underneath or access electrical wiring behind cladding or a wood ceiling or panelling. Or to retrieve an item that has slipped through a gap. Whatever the reason, all you need to do is remove one or more individual decking boards and you’re done.
Whether your customer is ready for a fresh new look for an interior or exterior wall or a ceiling, or wants to reconfigure or enlarge a deck, a set of disassembly keys will make it perfectly easy. Grad® disassembly keys enable you to remove boards one at a time, which means you can take apart an entire wall, ceiling or deck in thermally modified wood with no risk of damage. Watch our instruction video to see just how simple it is.
Replacing or reconfiguring boards is just as easy
With Grad® deck disassembly keys, it’s easy to remove boards one at a time. And when you’re ready to replace them, boards click back into place just as easily.
If a board is damaged, it’s easy to remove just one and replace it. If you need access to the space behind the cladding, simply remove the boards from that spot and replace them again afterwards. And when it’s time for a makeover for your customer’s cladding, panelling or ceiling panels, no problem! Remove the QuickClip® profiles for cleaning or a new finish, then click them back into place.
Good to know
The Grad® mini-rail is the exception to the rule when it comes to aluminium joists. This flexible rail has been designed specifically for use with rounded shapes, curved lines or a low structure – for example, façades or organically-shaped partitions. Because it is both flexible and not very high, the Grad® mini-rail opens up a myriad of new design possibilities in situations where standard rails are not enough. Please note, however, that pre-mounted Grad® mini-rail clips may not be disassembled. This means that the QuickClip® boards cannot be removed using disassembly keys once they have been fitted onto this type of rail.
