Carpentier offers thermo pine cladding with knots (pine) and without knots (clear pine). You can find the profiles we offer in thermo pine with knots here. Make sure to read about the specific advantages as well as the various finishing options that we can supply. Thanks to the tips and advice offered by our wood specialists, as a professional you can also be sure installation will be quick and simple.
Thermo pine is a great sustainable alternative for tropical hardwoods and an excellent option for outdoor cladding. Carpentier offers a wide variety of ready-to-use profiles, including three standard profiles in a black finish. We can also create custom cladding profiles in HOTwood pine as required.
We can also apply a fire-retardant treatment to our HOTwood pine outdoor cladding in compliance with B-s2,d0 norms and/or apply a finish to meet your specific requirements, including charring, brushing and oiling. Currently, black and transparent finishes are particularly popular for use with exterior cladding in thermo pine, but architects are leaning more and more towards on-trend timeless colours for outdoors. We have developed these colours together with the Belgian trendwatcher Hilde Francq. Besides these, a single-layer treatment with pale grey oil is often used to create a pre-weathered look without the wait. After this treatment, thermo pine weathers naturally with even more beautiful results. Please let us know if you would like more information about options for your project.

Before you begin fitting cladding, we recommend you read the installation instructions carefully. You will find them in our downloads section, under “Manuals Cladding, Panelling and Ceiling”. You will also find a step-by-step guide for installing cladding around corners for some unique QuickClip® profiles.
For ease of use and rapid results when installing HOTwood pine cladding, we recommend QuickClip® profiles. These ready-to-use profiles in wood feature the unique, invisible Grad® installation system, which reduces installation time by 50%. Moreover, since they guarantee that boards are perfectly aligned, you can count on a seamless result every time.
Watch our tutorial and find out for yourself.
At Carpentier, all the accessories you need for fitting cladding are in stock and can be ordered at the same time. These include: waterproof membranes, battens and extra aluminium joists for finishing windowsills and door edges, and clip grips, etc.
When cladding is installed vertically, the effects of gravity could cause boards to slide. Glue is often used to ensure they remain in place. However, this means that our QuickClip® cladding loses its circular character. That’s why we recommend to use the Grad® clip grip. This handy tool locks the cladding boards firmly onto the aluminium rail, without stopping them from being easy to dismantle and keeping their circularity. One clip grip per groove is enough to prevent any sliding.
QuickClip® cladding boards can easily be dismantled without damage using a set of dismantling keys. Dismantling boards can be really useful if work needs to be carried out behind the cladding, or if you want to smarten up the entire façade, or perhaps paint it a more on-trend colour.
Woodworking professionals can reduce installation time by up to 50% by using our QuickClip® products instead of traditional installation methods.
Carpentier works closely with architects and dealers who create remarkable projects using our thermo clear pine, such as a dental clinic in Oostrozebeke and an apartment building in Koksijde.
