Abodo® is a high-end thermally modified wood from fast-growth New Zealand plantations. It offers a stable and sustainable alternative to tropical hardwoods, with a natural look and exceptional performance for modern façade projects. It is also particularly well-suited to decking and interior design.
Abodo is made from FSC®-certified Radiata pine from sustainably managed plantation forests. Thanks to a controlled heat process, known as heat tempering, the wood is modified through to its core, without any chemicals needed. The process gives it excellent dimensional stability, makes it naturally resistant to humidity and adds a uniform, warm appearance.

Thanks to the heat treatment, Abodo is highly resistant to moisture, fungi and insects. The wood remains stable in a range of climates, with only minimum warping.
Vulcan® provides great stability because of its quarter-sawn and glued structure. This makes it ideal for very wide façade profiles and for structural uses. Imbue offers the same technical advantages with a more pronounced grain. Vaaro® Fire maintains the same performance, while also offering fire-retardant properties (fire class B*), without additional fire-retardant treatments.
Abodo is made from rapid-growth plantation timber and has a low carbon footprint. It is treated without using any chemical products, rendering the wood recyclable and safe for humans and the environment. Abodo is FSC®-certified, comes with an EPD and is Red List Free. It is known for being stable and long-lasting, as proven in international projects. Vulcan® cladding comes with a 25-year warranty and can be fitted vertically or horizontally.
Abodo has virtually no knots and a naturally warm look. The wood can be finished in clear or opaque oil. Brushing or charring are also possible. If left untreated, the wood will weather in an elegant and uniform way.
