European larch: a strong and natural softwood, full of character
European larch (Larix decidua) is a long-lasting softwood variety, originally from the mountainous regions of central Europe. What makes this wood so unique is its seasonal dynamics: it is the only European conifer to shed its needles in autumn. And this is reflected in its high-density, fine-grained wood structure and in the noticeable variations in colour.

Carpentier has selected larch from Austria, harvested in sustainably-run forests. With this wood you get technical strength and a warm and natural look. It is particularly suited to exposed roof boards, especialaly for outbuildings, house extensions and pool houses.
